Second Kinenhi: Reflections on Tule Lake

Kinenhi focuses on the Tule Lake Concentration center in California, which was opened as a detention center for Japanese Americans in 1942. In 1943 Tule Lake was designated as a "Segregation Center" after a Loyalty Oath was forced upon the interned population of Tule Lake and the other nine concentration camps for Japanese Americans in World War II.

Kinenhi is based on interviews conducted at Pilgrimages to Tule Lake in 1978, 1979, 1994 and 1996 - all with former internees as well as on discussions and speeches made at various programs at the Pilgrimages over the years.
