Enemy Alien Files:  Hidden Stories of WWII

September 21 - December 28, 2001

NJAHS Gallery

"Enemy Alien Files" brings together the Italian American, German American, and Japanese Latin American experiences as "enemy aliens" during WWII.  With photographs, documents, artifacts, and oral history excerpts, the exhibit will explore how inernational wartime events, political and military actions, and public attitudes affected the treatment, exclusion, detention of several thousand alien Americans.

"Enemy Alien Files" is being co-produced by NJAHS, the Japanese Peruvian Oral History Project, and the American Italian Historical Association, Western Regional Chapter.
