Korean American and Japanese American Women Artists

Co-curated by Betty Kano and Clara Kim. Bridges presents the work of five Korean American and five Japanese American artists living in the Bay Area. Working in video, film, paintings, photographs and performance, their art reveals a wide range of concerns and expressive forms dealing with media culture; audience engagement and passivity; memory and documentary; and social realities of Korean/Japanese/American identity.

Funded by SF Cultural Equity Arts Fund. Programs in collaboration with Locus Arts (1640 Post Street, SF).
